Applications invited for Know India Programme (57th to 59th editions)

KNOW INDIA PROGRAMME (KIP)

     Since 2004, the Government of India has been organizing “Know India Programmes” for Youths of Indian origin, with an objective to introduce them to India and promote awareness about different facets of Indian life, cultural heritage, art and various aspects of contemporary India. In this regard, applications are invited from Overseas Indian Youths to participate in the 57th, 58th & 59th KIPs. The schedule of KIPs is given below:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

a) Foreign nationals of Indian origin in the age group of 18-30 years[As on 1st November 2019 for 57th KIP, 1st December 2019 for 58th KIP, and 1st January 2020 for 59th KIP.

b) Applicant should not have participated in any previous KIP or Internship Programme for Diaspora Youth (IPDY) Study India Programme of Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) or any other programme organized and paid for by the MEA and any other Ministry/Department in Government of India or a State Government in India.

c) Those who have not visited India before will be given preference.

d) Minimum educational qualification is Graduation from a recognized University/ Institute or enrolled for graduation.

e) The applicants should be able to speak in English, should have studied English as a subject at the High School level or have English as the medium of instruction for undergraduate course.

HOW TO APPLY FOR KIPRegister online at www.kip.gov.in. Thereafter, submit a printout of the Application Form alongwith supportive documents and photographs at this Embassy.

ARRANGEMENTS:

  1. Participants will be provided local hospitality e.g. boarding/lodging and transportation in India.
  2. The Embassy will arrange for return air tickets before participants leave for India, after getting 10% of total air fare from them.
  3. Gratis visa will be granted to selected participants.

INTERNATIONAL MEDICAL AND TRAVEL INSURANCEAll KIP participants are advised to obtain an international travel and medical insurance policy for their visit to India.
