Free Yoga Classes at the Embassy of India, Bucharest

Programme: September – December 2026

About Our Yoga Programme

The Embassy of India in Bucharest offers three free yoga classes a day, Monday to Friday, open to everyone: one online in the morning and two in person in the evening, at the Embassy Yoga Hall.

Once a month, we also offer a five-day course, held both online and in person at the Embassy Yoga Hall.

Weekly Schedule

The online morning practice follows a weekly theme, such as Nirvana Yoga for a Healthy Back or Nirvana Yoga to Relieve Stress. Postures and breathing techniques are adapted to each theme.

The Style of Yoga

The style of yoga taught at the Embassy is Nirvana Yoga, founded by the Enlightened Spiritual Master Guru Bodhisatvan Madhavacharyan.

Its purpose is to guide a person from disease, negative thoughts and emotional imbalance towards holistic health. This happens through practice and through knowledge, shared in yoga philosophy classes.

Nirvana Yoga is not just a system of practice. It is a wholesome way of life.

Your Teacher

Our yoga teacher, Ms Veronica Mathew, has been teaching Nirvana Yoga for more than 12 years and specialises in yoga therapy for stress, anxiety and insomnia.

She has been training at Thapovanam Siddhashramam Ashram in Kerala, India, under the direct guidance of the founder of Nirvana Yoga and His principal disciples.

As a Nirvana Yoga teacher, she continues her training without interruption. In this tradition, a teacher's learning never stops.
