12th Edition of International Day of Yoga 2026

The Embassy of India, Bucharest celebrated the 12th International Day of Yoga on 21 June 2026 at the iconic Piața Constituției, in front of the Palace of Parliament in Bucharest, with enthusiastic participation from a large number of yoga practitioners, Indian diaspora members, Romanian friends, students, corporates and children.

Under the theme "Yoga for Healthy Ageing", participants joined the Common Yoga Protocol and embraced the timeless message of harmony, health and well-being.

The celebration was enriched by the active participation and support of Sahaj Yoga, Brahma Kumaris, Isha Foundation, World Class Romania and Mr. Naimish Anant Patel of Dimar, whose valuable contribution and enthusiastic involvement helped make this a truly memorable event, bringing together yoga enthusiasts from the Indian and Romanian communities.

The celebration reflected the strong people-to-people ties between India and Romania and the universal appeal of yoga as India's gift to humanity.
