Embassy of India Marks Gandhi Jayanti with Bust Unveiling Ceremony

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, marking the 156th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Embassy of India to Romania and Moldova hosted a solemn and heartfelt commemoration at the Embassy premises in Bucharest.

Ambassador Dr. Manoj Kumar Mohapatra unveiled the bust of Mahatma Gandhi, joined by Embassy officials, members of the Indian community, and friends of India in Romania. Floral tributes were offered in honour of the Father of the Nation, as attendees gathered to reflect on his enduring legacy of truth, non-violence, and service to humanity.

Mahatma Gandhi's values continue to inspire generations across the world, transcending borders and time. His philosophy of ahimsa and satyagraha remains as relevant today as ever, offering timeless guidance in the pursuit of peace, justice, and human dignity.

The Embassy of India remains committed to keeping alive the memory and message of Mahatma Gandhi, and to sharing his universal legacy with the people of Romania and Moldova.
