A Celebration of Culture and Friendship: Indian Dance Troupe Ghumati Gori at Babeș-Bolyai University

The Embassy of India, Bucharest organised a vibrant cultural evening at Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, featuring the ICCR-sponsored visiting Indian dance troupe Ghumati Gori. The troupe captivated the audience with mesmerising performances that beautifully showcased the rich and diverse artistic traditions of India.

Joining them on stage were artists from the renowned Romanian ensemble Mugurelul, who presented captivating Romanian folk rhythms, weaving together the cultural heritage of both nations in a truly memorable performance. The evening celebrated the spirit of friendship and the shared values that unite India and Romania.

A packed hall at Babeș-Bolyai University cheered and applauded every performance, reflecting the warmth and enthusiasm of the Romanian audience for Indo-Romanian cultural ties. The event stood as a testament to the deep and growing bonds between the two countries — bonds built not only through diplomacy and trade, but through art, music, and the universal language of culture.
