Ambassador Mohapatra Meets Romanian MP and President of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture

Ambassador Dr. Manoj Kumar Mohapatra met with Mr. Mihail Neamțu, Romanian Member of Parliament, writer, and President of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture, for an enriching exchange of views covering a wide range of topics of mutual interest.

The discussions touched upon the state and prospects of India-Romania relations, with a focus on trade and business opportunities, as well as the deep civilizational and cultural links that have long connected the two countries. Of particular interest was India's rich spiritual heritage, which resonated strongly with Mr. Neamțu's own background as a writer and cultural figure.

The meeting reflected the warmth and depth of the bilateral relationship between India and Romania, and the shared commitment of both sides to further strengthening ties across diplomacy, culture, and commerce. Engagements of this nature — bringing together diplomatic and parliamentary voices — play an important role in building a broader and more enduring partnership between the two nations.

The Embassy of India to Romania and Moldova looks forward to continued dialogue with Romanian parliamentary and cultural institutions, and to deepening the bonds of friendship between our two peoples.
