Ambassador Mohapatra Meets Mayor of Topoloveni to Discuss Local Cooperation

Ambassador Dr. Manoj Kumar Mohapatra met with Mayor Gheorghiță Boțârcă of Topoloveni to discuss avenues for local cooperation and opportunities to expand India-Romania economic partnerships at the community level.

The meeting highlighted the growing interest in extending India-Romania ties beyond the national and institutional level, into direct engagement with local authorities and communities across Romania. Such interactions offer valuable opportunities to explore practical cooperation in areas of mutual benefit, including trade, investment, and cultural exchange at the grassroots level.

The discussion reflected the Embassy's broader commitment to building a comprehensive and inclusive partnership with Romania — one that extends beyond the capital and engages with local administrations and communities across the country. Strengthening these local-level connections helps lay a stronger foundation for the long-term development of India-Romania relations.
