Ambassador Mohapatra Meets Igor Dodon, President of the Moldova-India Parliamentary Friendship Group

Ambassador Dr. Manoj Kumar Mohapatra met with Mr. Igor Dodon, President of the Moldova-India Parliamentary Friendship Group, to discuss strengthening parliamentary engagement and advancing bilateral cooperation between India and Moldova.

The meeting underscored the important role that parliamentary diplomacy plays in deepening the relationship between the two countries, complementing the work carried out at the governmental and diplomatic levels. Both sides discussed avenues to further activate the Friendship Group as a platform for sustained dialogue and exchange between lawmakers from India and Moldova.

Mr. Dodon, a prominent figure in Moldovan politics and a long-standing advocate for closer India-Moldova ties, reaffirmed his commitment to fostering greater parliamentary cooperation and to supporting initiatives that bring the two nations closer together across political, economic, and cultural domains.

The Embassy of India to Romania and Moldova places great importance on parliamentary engagement as a vital pillar of bilateral relations, and looks forward to continued collaboration with the Moldova-India Parliamentary Friendship Group in the months ahead.
