Embassy of India Celebrates Disha 2026 with Indian Students in Chișinău

The Embassy of India to Romania, along with the International Students Federation of Moldova (ISFM), organised the Disha 2026 celebrations in Chișinău, bringing together Indian students from across Moldova for an evening of vibrant cultural enthusiasm and shared community spirit.

The event was graced by H.E. Mr. Ion Ceban, Mayor of Chișinău, and the Ambassador of India, whose presence underscored the strong and growing relationship between India and Moldova. Their participation reflected the importance both sides place on supporting the welfare and engagement of the sizeable Indian student community studying in Moldova.

The celebrations served as a platform to highlight the promotion of Indian culture among the diaspora, while also strengthening people-to-people ties and enhancing the bonds of friendship between India and Moldova. For the many Indian students pursuing their education in Moldova, Disha 2026 offered a valuable opportunity to come together, celebrate their shared heritage, and connect with the broader Indian community in the country.

The Embassy of India to Romania and Moldova remains deeply committed to the well-being of Indian students abroad and to fostering events that bring the diaspora closer together, while strengthening the wider relationship between India and Moldova.
