International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2021 was celebrated at Free International University of Moldova (ULIM) on June 21. The event was organised by ULIM in collaboration with Embassy of India in Bucharest. Enthusiastic students joined for the event. This was the first IDY celebration in ULIM.

People of all ages gathered on the occasion of International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2021 celebrated in Chisinau, in Dendrariu Park on June 21. They have learned easy Yoga poses, guided by enthusiastic instructors, so that they can practice whenever they feel the need. Choosing a serene atmosphere for practice, the participants in the International Day of Yoga celebrations in Moldova were content to be able to unwind after a stressful day. Thanks to capable and patient teachers, the disciples could easily grasp each and every step of the relaxation process and take full advantage of the benefits yoga practice can bring. Our friends in Moldova chose a rooftop terrace as their refuge for Yoga practice. Supported by the Embassy of India in Romania, Moldova and Albania, instructors and disciples came together to boost their gains from a system of exercise that provokes both body and mind. Yoga never ceases to unravel its advantages, especially in trying times, such as a pandemic, when social activities come to an abrupt halt.

After a few scares with a moody weather, our Moldovan Yoga enthusiasts were back in the fresh air to do what they like best: practice Yoga. Some simple Yoga positions, breathing exercises and merriment were the ingredients in the recipe for relaxation.
