Ambassador meets the President of Romania's Permanent Electoral Authority to discuss cooperation on electoral processes and democratic institutions
Posted on: October 01, 2026 | Back | PrintH.E. Dr. Manoj Kumar Mohapatra, Ambassador of India to Romania, met H.E. (Mr.) Adrian Țuțuianu, President of Romania’s Permanent Electoral Authority, to discuss India-Romania ties and cooperation on electoral processes and democratic institutions.
The Ambassador invited President Țuțuianu to visit India on mutually convenient dates and offered AI training opportunities for PEA officials.
Both sides also discussed finalising the pending MoU between the Election Commission of India’s SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) programme and Romania’s electoral authority.
