Hindi Diwas was celebrated at the Embassy on 14 September 2022. In his opening speech, Ambassador mentioned some of the achievements of the Embassy to promote the Hindi language in Romania, such as opening of the Romanian-Indian Study Center at the Romanian-American University in Bucharest, donations of books to universities and libraries across the country, the sponsorship of the publication of books on learning Hindi and the free Hindi classes at the Embassy, available from August 2022 for all those interested. Mr. Atul Bhardwaj, Second Secretary read excerpts from the message of Hon'ble Minister of Home Affairs. Dr. Hilda Varga, Ms. Ioana Poterasu, Ms. Irina Avram, Ms. Raluca Dumitru, Ms. Mirela Cristea, Ms. Gabriela Rusai and Ms. Monica Todoran spoke about their love for Hindi and recited poems on the occasion. Ms. Eugenia Deaconu's and Mr. Jagmohan Tiwari's songs enlivened the atmosphere. Ms. Anisha Lahoray and Ms. Ana Calina Garas were the surprise speakers from the public.
