The Ambassador then visited the Mircea cel Bătrân Naval Academy / Maritime University of Constanța, where discussions focused on academic collaboration in maritime education, officer training, and the potential for joint research initiatives — reflecting the shared maritime heritage and strategic interests of both nations.
He also held a cordial meeting with the Mayor of Constanța, during which both sides explored avenues for municipal cooperation, tourism, trade, and investment, highlighting Constanța's growing importance as a gateway between Europe and the wider world.
The visit further included tours of key port infrastructure: the DP World Terminal and the Comvex Terminal, both located in the Port of Constanța — one of the largest and most strategically significant ports on the Black Sea. These visits provided valuable insights into Romania's logistics and bulk cargo handling capabilities, and opened conversations on expanding Indian trade and investment interests in the region. The Ambassador also toured the Constanța Shipyard, exploring opportunities for cooperation in shipbuilding, repair, and the broader maritime industry.
